sunlight through the window
leaving a trail of dust sparkles
glittering
each one unique
a spec
enlarged by the light
so we can see it
magical
captivating
A simple pleasure
dancing in the gentle zephyr
watch
not a poet
It's what I do

giving in
Falling faster
Deeper underground
The rope I have is frayed
The bed I had is made
Courage fading
Slipping the mud
The bottom is a blur
The future seems unsure
Softness hardens
Turning into stone
Nothing can come in
Nothing can come out
Deeper underground
The rope I have is frayed
The bed I had is made
Courage fading
Slipping the mud
The bottom is a blur
The future seems unsure
Softness hardens
Turning into stone
Nothing can come in
Nothing can come out

beautiful land
White light flowing in
green forests beyond
Mist resting above the sea
A fascinating bond
Fog moves across the bay
calmly swirling above
Drops of rain are falling down
melodic Earthly love
Embracing paradise
green and white and blue
Sunlight keeps us warm
the dew drops keep us cool
Wild salmon swim upstream
natural migration
Following instinctual dreams
in essential habitation
A baby smiles a child laughs
a mother holds out her hand
Universal admiration
for our beautiful land
green forests beyond
Mist resting above the sea

be back soon
It's time to go
It's time to fly
But, wait
I have to say goodbye
See ya later Alligator
Enjoy your tidal pool
In a while Crocodile
I've made sure your water's cool
I've gotta swish, goldfish
Don't worry, you'll be okay
Adios house hippos
I have to go, I just can't stay
Chow Chow brown cow
My pillow's nice and soft
I've gotta go buffalo
You can hang out in the loft
Bye Bye butterfly
How beautiful are you
See you soon, big baboon
I love you through and through
When will you be home
you won't be too too long?
hmm....
In an hour sunflower
Maybe two kangaroo
could be three honey bee
for sure not four wild boar
I love you all, I say to them
I'll race home lickety-split
I shut the door behind me
and grab my baseball mitt
It's time to fly
But, wait
I have to say goodbye
See ya later Alligator
Enjoy your tidal pool
In a while Crocodile
I've made sure your water's cool

My Robin's nest
Those noisy Robins woke me up
Early every day
My pillow wrapped around my ears
Please be "QUIET" I would say
Those birds would sing no matter what
up before the sun
I wondered as I lay in bed
If they woke everyone
I thought I'd go and look for them
Put on my shoes, my hat and vest
I wandered round the yard
and at last I found a nest
I climbed the tree up to the branch
that held the nest so true
You'll never believe what I found
Three little eggs of blue
I sat there for a while
I listened to them sing
I wondered when the eggs will hatch
And the excitement they would bring
Every morning for a week
I climbed up in that tree
and every morning I saw the eggs
no baby birds to see
As I was eating lunch one day
I heard the Robins tweet
I thought that this was strange
So I jumped up on my feet
I ran towards the tree
Where the robins flew about
I climbed up to the nest
and covered my mouth as not to shout
One bird already hatched
and another on it's way
A foot, a beak, a tweet, a squeek
This was my favourite day
Every day for two whole weeks
I went and saw the birds
every day they grew some more
the first, second and third
One day when I went back
The birds had left their home
I saw them in the tree
on the branches they did roam
They hung out for a while
I wondered when they'd fly
and when I least expected
They flew into the sky.
Now early in the mornings
When the winter turns to Spring
I smile when I hear
The robins start to sing
Early every day
My pillow wrapped around my ears
Please be "QUIET" I would say
Those birds would sing no matter what

I wondered as I lay in bed
If they woke everyone

Nature's beauty
Some of us forget the beauty of what is around us
Children keep that beauty alive.
White bell flowers on Arbutus
seen by you and I
Jewels from the fairy world
seen through my daughters eyes
The dazzling jewels all around
Collecting in her pockets
Falling from the sky to ground
Like heaven scented droplets
With every jewel falling
her eyes will open wide
She can see the magic
That nature does provide

our rhythm
Oh how I wish that I could sleep
and sweetly close my eyes
Drift into a land unknown
While you sing lullabies
I feel the comfort of your soul
my head upon your chest
You sing a song, I hum along
We share a sweet caress
and sweetly close my eyes
Drift into a land unknown
While you sing lullabies
I feel the comfort of your soul
my head upon your chest
You sing a song, I hum along
We share a sweet caress
